Since 2014, Policygenius, a Zinnia company based in Greenwich, Connecticut, has helped customers compare options from top insurance companies through our content, digital tools, and experts. For more than a decade, Policygenius has served as a resource for millions of people and sold more than $200 billion in coverage.
Building a New Team
In 2024, Policygenius created a new segment of experts: the Inforce Sales Team. These specialized experts were chosen due to their previous experience and performance. They were provided new training focused specifically on engaging existing customers and identifying evolving coverage needs.
Transformative Growth Through Teamwork
Starting in 2024, the Customer Relationship Marketing (CRM), Sales Development Representative (SDR), and the newly established Inforce Sales Teams combined forces to unlock new growth opportunities within Policygenius’s existing customer base. The initiative officially launched in early 2025. It established a coordinated way to reach out to customers and has become a repeatable model for customer engagement. One Sales Team member noted, “This initiative didn’t just drive revenue—it changed how we show up for our customers.”
The effort also improved collaboration internally. These teams were previously more siloed, but the new structure created meaningful opportunities to work together and better serve customers. As a result, customers now experience more coordinated outreach and continued support as their coverage needs evolve. It has become a core part of the Policygenius lifecycle marketing strategy.
Looking Ahead
What began as a new growth strategy is quickly becoming a foundational part of how we support customers long after their first policy purchase. In the future, the teams will continue to fine-tune the experience and work to unlock additional growth opportunities.
