What you need to know

Your out-of-pocket limit is the most you’ll have to pay for covered health care services in a year. Deductibles, copayments, and coinsurance go toward your out-of-pocket limit; monthly premiums do not count. The maximum out-of-pocket limit for 2017 is $7,150 for individual plans and $14,300 for family plans.
