Spring has sprung and with it, Major League Baseball has embarked on its 2018 season. For me, baseball is best enjoyed in person, with a hot dog and a beer. The thing is, all these ballpark traditions can get pretty expensive.

How expensive varies widely by team. Just like the on-field performance is totally different if you're watching the surging Mets or the floundering Marlins, some ballparks hit your wallet more than others. How much?

Team Marketing Report, a publisher of sports industry information, compiles MLB game prices to come up with its Fan Cost Index, a measure of the cost for a family of four to attend a game. The index incorporates the price of tickets, soda, hot dogs, beer, souvenir caps and parking. It allows fans to see that, even if the Orioles are trash this year, at least the hot dogs are cheap.

Here are the 10 most expensive MLB game-day experiences this year, according to the Fan Cost Index, followed by the 10 cheapest.
